Welcome to Part 2 of this three-part introduction to Macromedia Flash. You survived Part 1 of this tutorial, where you created, set up, and imported content into a FLA file. Because you’re reading Part 2, you’re probably ready to learn more about Flash. That’s good because more fun ensues in this part—you will create symbols, animation, and even write some simple ActionScript to make the banner function.
Note: If you are still using Flash MX 2004 and not Flash 8, please see the previous version of this article.
Requirements
To complete this tutorial you will need to install the following software and files:
Macromedia Flash Basic 8
or Macromedia Flash Professional 8
