There are distracting hissing sounds in my voiceover. What can I do about it?

Sibilance and other high-frequency “SSS”-type sounds (which can sound like hissing) are often created when a narrator or other speaker pronounces the letters “s” and “t.” Use the DeEsser in Adobe® Premiere® Pro 1.5 to remove the sound. Adjust the Gain value to determine how much the effect reduces the sound; the meter shows you how much it’s reduced, in decibels. Specifying the gender of the speaker helps the effect to adapt to the difference in tone between genders.
