Connect the turntable, cassette deck, or microphone to the computer.

Turntables, cassette decks, and microphones each connect to the computer differently:

• To connect a turntable, first connect the turntable outputs to the Phono In ports on your receiver. Then plug an RCA cable into an output from your receiver (for example, Tape Out). Plug the other end of the cable into an RCA-to-miniplug adapter, and insert the miniplug into your sound card’s Line In port.

• To connect a cassette deck, first connect an RCA cable to the deck’s outputs. Then plug the other end of the cable into an RCA-to-miniplug adapter, and insert the miniplug into your sound card’s Line In port.

• To connect a computer microphone, connect its cable to your sound card’s Mic In port.
