Blue Cell Effects
In this tutorial we are going to practice some blue cellt effects in Photoshop.
So let’s get right to it.
I will fill the newly created layer with this lights blue color.
I would like to put some layer styles on it.
Gradient overlay put to Linear lights mode with about half opacity; and of course some texture.
Here is our result.
Looks ok as a background for out text.
I will no type some text doesn’t matter what. I just thought about Fujitsu-Siemens Amillo series then.
So our goal is to create a tar like style. So the color is known – it will be black.
As you can see I’m using bevel and emboss as the main tool to create
tar style. Plus to that I’ve added a little bit of texture.
Result? Good. It is Very alike.
So I will go on in practicing PS effects.
Just make a copy of amillo text layer switching off all the styles.
Turn off fill 0%.
And select the whole layer.
Save selection!!!
Further the selection a little bit.
Go to channels menu box and create a new document with similar size.
Save and paste it to newly created document.
And save it as a separate PSD file.
Now this is when all the magic happens.
Switch to background layer.
Go Filters>Distort>Displace.
Use these settings.
Use our PSD file.
And a miracle had happened, a very cool and hard to understand effects so remember it.
