How to make frees style wallpaper
In this Photoshop tutorial we will create a totally free style wallpaper for today, so we will be sketching a shape with basic brush I guess and then overlay it with bright colors.
So let’s create a document:
Start painting with basic round brush with opacity jitter set to pen pressure.
These curvy shapes:
Start to develop the shape – twist and turn to find the best compositing – flip the image a lot of times. Because the eye gets used to what you do for some time: specially the abstract shapes.
I’ve decided to transform the shape and leave it like so.
Then I’ve created the copy of this shape and make it way ore bigger.
…and set the layer blending mode to exclusion.
Now create a layer underneath all the layers that you used till now.
Select the brush – I’m using my custom dual flat brush which you will be able to download (download FreeStyleWallpaper_Brush.abr).
So I’ve dragged the layer to the top first and then painted some free strokes with red – yellow and something like green
Set the layer blending mode to linear burn:
I’ve added a little bit of drop shadow to the shape layer – the opacity of the shadow is 20 % – the color is black, the distance and spread is 2 and 3.
I’ve just tweaked the colors by using the same brush with layer blending mode set to overlay.
Then I’ve used the motion blur filter to blend the colors:
A little more contrast with basic soft edged brush:
A little bit of pure white to the middle. Lower the flow of the brush to 3 %.
Zoom out – zoom in – to watch the whole composition from the distance:
Flip the image several times to be sure about the composition:
And this is it – our freestyle is ready : this was a free style so it is not vital for you to do the same thing – just practice to add colors and play with layer modes – and everything will be ok for this matter).
