Create Awesome Grungy Style Artwork using Custom Brushes
Create a new layer again and choose this time the next brush from Seu_Davi set. The brush have black color (Opacity – 20%).
Use this brush to paint on the canvas as shown. Place this layer under the model’s layer:
On the next new layer we’ll choose the next brush from Old_paper_brushes_by_Annette29 set. The brush have black color (Opacity – 40%).
Use this brush to add the next brushstroke as shown. Place this layer under the model’s layer.
Insert the mask on the layer by choosing Add layer mask on the bottom part of the Layers panel and choose the Soft Round brush of black color (set Opacity to 30% in Options bar).
Paint in the mask using this brush to hide the next zones on the layer as shown:
On the next new layer we’ll choose the next brush from Old_paper_brushes_by_Annette29 set.
Use this brush to add the next brushstroke as shown. The brush have black color (Opacity – 50%). Place the layer under the model’s layer.
As we did before, we have to insert the mask on the layer and hide the next zones on the layer with the same Soft Round brush.
Create now a new layer, applying here the next brush from Old_paper_brushes_by_Annette29 set.
Use this brush to add the next brushstroke of the color #002020 (Opacity – 30%). Place this layer under the model’s one.
Insert the mask on the same layer and choose the Soft Round brush of black color, paint in the maks to hide the middle part of the layer.
We’ve got the next result:
Next we have to create a new layer and use here the Paint Bucket Tool (G) to fill the layer with #EFEFEF color. Place this layer under the model’s one.
Insert the mask on the layer by choosing Add layer mask on the bottom part of the Layers panel and apply the next filter: Filter > Render > Clouds.
Set the Blending mode for this layer to Overlay.
Create again a new layer and apply the Paint Bucket Tool (G) to fill the layer with black color.
Apply on the layer the next filter: Filter > Noise > Add Noise:
We’ve got the next result:
Set Fill to 62% for this layer and change the Blending mode to Color Dodge.
Create a new layer and place it above all the layers connected with the model in Layers panel. Choose the next brush from Old_paper_brushes_by_Annette29 set. of black color.
Use this brush to add the next brushstroke of the black color.
Insert the mask on the layer by choosing Add layer mask on the bottom part of the Layers panel and choose the Soft Round brush of black color (set Opacity to 40% in Options bar).
Paint in the mask using this brush to hide the next zones on the layer. Set Fill to 70% for this layer.
