Create a Futuristic Photo Illustration in Photoshop CS5
Click again Create new fill or adjustment layer from bottom part of the Layers panel and click to Curves to adjust the curve shape as shown to make a little color corrections.
We’ve got the next result:
Using the Ellipse Tool (U), try to draw a small circle:
Click on Add a layer style icon from bottom part of the Layers panel and select Gradient Overlay.
Click in the color bar to open the Gradient Editor and set the color stops as shown. Click OK to close the Gradient Editor dialog box.
We’ve got the next result:
Continue representing other small circles, applying the Ellipse Tool (U).
Set Fill to 0% and click on Add a layer style icon from bottom part of the Layers panel to select Gradient Overlay.
Click in the color bar to open the Gradient Editor and set the color stops as shown. Click OK to close the Gradient Editor dialog box.
We’ve got the next result:
Make a copy of the recently made layer and choose the Free Transform (Ctrl+T) command to make the copy smaller and place it the same way shown next picture.
Combine in a group all the small circles’ made layers (press CTRL button to select the necessary layers and hold on the left mouse’s button while dragging the selected layers on Create a new group icon from bottom part of the Layers panel). Make a copy of the new group and choose the Free Transform (Ctrl+T) command to move the copy on the same place the next picture indicates on it.
Make other two copies of the same group and choose the Free Transform (Ctrl+T) command to make the copies smaller and place them the same way indicated below:
On each copied group we’ll apply the next Opacity and Blending Mode:
Create a new layer and use here the Soft Round brush of black color (Opacity – 15%).
Use this brush to make darker the canvas’s edges.
Set the Blending mode for this layer to Soft Light.
Click Create new fill or adjustment layer from bottom part of the Layers panel and click to Curves to adjust the curve shape as shown to make a little color corrections.
We’ve got the next result:
Now we’ll choose the Line Tool (U) to draw several inclined lines of the color #F2E027 (set Weight to 1px in Options bar).
Now we have to make a copy of the represented circles’ group and choose the Free Transform (Ctrl+T) option to make the copy smaller and set different parameters for the layer containing the biggest circle. Click on Add a layer style icon from bottom part of the Layers panel and select Gradient Overlay.
Click in the color bar to open the Gradient Editor and set the color stops as shown. Click OK to close the Gradient Editor dialog box.
We’ve got the next result:
On the next new layer we have to apply the Soft Round brush of yellow and blue colors (Opacity – 20%) to draw many spots on the canvas.

Set the Blending mode for this layer to Linear Light.
Click Create new fill or adjustment layer from bottom part of the Layers panel and click to Curves to adjust the curve shape as shown to make a little color corrections.

On the last stage we’ll combine in a group all the layers (press CTRL button to select the necessary layers and hold on the left mouse’s button while dragging the selected layers on Create a new group icon from bottom part of the Layers panel). Make a copy of the new group we’ve got and rasterize it by selecting it firstly and then press CTRL+E to Merge Down. Apply on the rasterized layer the next filter: Filter>Blur>Gaussian blur.
We’ve got the next result:
Set Fill to 74% for the rasterized layer and change the Blending mode for this layer to Lighter Light.
